How is it racist if he said Allahu Akbar and kills 13 and wounds 30 people? Sounds like islamo-extremism to me.

Definition of Racism: Racism is the belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.

yep that sounds like what I said alright.

So if I kill 13 people and say God is Great am I doing it because I am Christian or because I am crazy?

It's not racism to point out (perhaps correctly) that radical Islamic ideology may have been a part of his motivation. It's important to figure out exactly what the motivation was so as to draw lessons from it.

I don't think it was a case of 'OMG THEY HATE OUR FREEDOMS!!eleven!!11!', but radical ideology is a very real possibility in this case and it must be addressed and confronted. Radicalism is springing up within the United States. It must be confronted.

It shouldn't just be confronted here -- it's just that other nations, most notably Great Britain, have already taken steps to confront it.  Granted, they have a larger Muslim population, and one that is generally more 1st-generation immigrants than our own, but Islamic extremism needs to be stopped at the source.  At the same time, we all have to be very careful because the far and away majority of Muslims are not extremists.

So...  this makes it official:  police > military?

So... good thing they don't let women have guns, or this could have gone much worse?

So... if he was a psychiatrist, what exactly was he representationally shooting people with?

So... they couldn't just settle this with a battle of psychic powers?

So...  had he just finished watching the Glenn Beck show?

I'm not much of a gambler, but if I was, I think it would be a safe bet that when everything about this person surfaces, you will find a lot of the same trends leading up to this as other similar shootings, from Columbine to VT, all the way back to the Charles Witman at the University of Texas.

A history of depression and anxiety. A looming deadline or upcoming event. Feelings of being alone - not having anybody to connect with. Severe isolationist. Curbed emotional output. Previous acts of violence or talks of violence. Disliked by those around him.

FE is just outing the notorious liberal slant of the left-wing military.

Believe me the 'Official" statements coming from the Commander of Ft. Hood, go all the way up the chain and down again before the General can make them. Minimum they go to Sec Of Def, possibly to CIC (Obama).

UNderstand in the new PC world of the military I would not be surprised if the MP's were calling for permission to 'lock and load' weapons, nothing is done anymore without permission, and everyone will continue to pass that decesion up the chain so he/she is not held accountable.

TRhis individual should have been 'chaptered' out way before this, his record as an intern was abismal, counciling and other disiplinary issues, his duty performance is in question, and the statements by a Commisioned Officer made against the policies of the Administration violate the oath of 'protecting against all enemies, foriegn and domestic' he does not get to pick the enemy.

Again the media is hesitant to even mention the words Muslim or Islamic in a negative light. The fact that his name appeared on ISLAMIC Fundimentalist web sites, making statements against the US, and for his 'brothers' fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan is swept over by the press, yet his so called harrasement by US Soldiers on his being Muslim and a "Camel Jockey' has appeared in several media outlets. Like predicted the focus is shifting away from the Radical Islamic Movement, and targeting the US Military in its racist and bigoted views of Muslims. The media fears the Islamic/Muslim community and thier reach (they do have a tendancy of targeting those who offend Allah, and bad things happen) if accusations are made, and does not fear the US Military or the Government.

So basically your idea of nonbiased is that they are calling this an attack due to fanaticism without actually knowing?

Other than that the articles are basically the same.

So... when help is needed on 9-11 we call the Army, but when the Army needs help they call 9-11.  Does that cause a rift in the space-time continuum?

So... did it take a woman to take down the shrink because the men were busy running from their feelings?

So... this cop is married to Army SF, and SHE is the badass in the family?
