My step brother and I just did our first paint jobs on our guns today. We think the turn out was pretty well but what do the experts think?

I don't think the difference in shading between the colors on the A5 is significant enough to be differentiated at a distance.  The problem with that is it means they will just blend into a gray blob which could stand out in certain terrain.

The pattern on the 98 is somewhat better, but the lack of camo on the hopper and barrel reduces its effectiveness.

Edit:  Depending upon the paint you used you may want to make sure you don't leave any paint from hits on the markers for any period of time.

Not bad, though I feel like the A5 could use some more digital flecks.

The camo on the a-5 reminds me of space invaders.  I think it's neat

Both look clean. I would look into added a third color. You will be amazed at the difference it makes.

Are you talking about the A-5 or the 98 custom?

Good effort, but your color choice wouldn't work well in my area, or many bush/woods areas that have alot of lighter greens. I think it is all abit too dark and as others have said it would look like a grey black blob from a distance. Throw another color in the mix with adding more digi detail  and lighten it up a little and it may have much more camouflaging effect, help it to brake up the dark edges of the marker. The Tiger stripe effort looks really good and in proportion within itself and needs to be finished off to the hopper and barrel to be perfect, but would have no camouflaging effect at all. I have never been in a black bushland with red stripes, or even close to it. Just an honest opinion and i would expect you too leave me the same.
